Attorney Sylvia L. Breitowich began her journey into law with the goal of a criminal defense practice. But after an internship introduced her to the unique complexities of matrimonial and family law, she took a leap of faith to embrace this new path.

Sylvia practices with purpose and tenacity, offering anyone coming through the doors the devoted service and legal expertise they deserve when facing difficult family decisions. Working as a parenting coordinator for families, Sylvia sees firsthand the hardships litigation can create in family dynamics and the potential for children to experience trauma. Sylvia is a Collaboratively Trained lawyer, and as a parent herself, she guides clients toward family mediation to eliminate unnecessary chaos and to secure a swift, amicable, but equitable resolution without litigation.

Particularly now with the backlog of cases in our court system, Sylvia strongly advocates for alternative dispute resolutions and devises creative ways to protect her clients from the emotional and financial strain of delayed outcomes. Sylvia’s greatest reward is providing clients with the tools to find their better future.
